The D-Link ANT24-0801 is a Pico Cell Patch Antenna for wireless data transmission for indoor or outdoor environments.
The device provides 8.5dBi signal strength gain and operates on the 2.4 to 2.5 GHz ISM band (Industrial, Scientific and Medical). This provides wider range of wireless coverage to reduce the cost of running standard cable lines.
The ANT24-0801 is a convenient way to extend wireless coverage to an existing 802.11b or 802.11g wireless local area network (WLAN), and can be used with any of the Air™, AirPlus™, AirPlusG+™, AirXtremeG™ or AirPremier™ Access Points or Wireless Gateway Routers .
The device is weatherproof and made of corrosion-resistant material to withstand harsh outdoor conditions, and includes a swivel mount that allows pivotal adjustment for precise positioning for the most concentrated signal strength. The D-Link ANT24-0801 also ships with a lightning surge protector and a 3 metre extension cable.
To achieve a desired operating range and transmission rate, antennas of the same Gain (8.5dBi) should be installed at both the transmission and reception ends. Transmission distances can vary according to the transmission speeds.
